A comparison of the Folk Song in the Bohemian and Moravian Region and its Application in Music Classes

The master's thesis follows up on the bachelor's thesis called The Folk Song in the Pilsen Region as a Part of the Regional Culture. Primarily, the theoretical part of the thesis aims to compare and contrast two distinct regions, specifically the Pilsen region and the Wallachian region. It focuses on the characteristics of their folk culture including folk architecture, folk costume, folk customs and most importantly folk songs. The thesis deals both with their characteristics typical of Bohemian and Moravian regions in general and their characteristics typical of the Pilsen and the Wallachian regions. The thesis further focuses on folklore festivals, folklore ensembles and folk song collectors associated with these regions. The practical goal of the thesis is the application of Pilsen and Wallachian folk songs in Music classes at upper primary school (or in the corresponding grades of multi-year gymnasium) in the form of a play with folk songs from both regions and arousing pupils' interest in folk songs. The appendix includes pictures and photographs associated with the folklore of the Pilsen and Wallachian regions as well as examples of Wallachian folk songs that can be used as a song-book in Music classes.

This thesis of diploma entitled Care of clients of sheltered housing in the senior age and at the time of dying deals with the care for old persons in sheltered housings for mentally disabled persons. The goal of the thesis is to identify and to describe obstacles, which, at present, prevent sheltered housings for mentally disabled persons from providing care for clients, who have grown old in the facility, who what to spend there their declining years and who wish to die in their familiar environment with dignity. Such care should be available regardless of the location of the sheltered housing, regardless of clients' financial situation and the type of governing authority of the sheltered housing. The second goal of the thesis is to find satisfactory solutions to all the identified obstacles, in order to realize the clients' right to choose their environment and suitable care at the end of their life. The thesis consists of three sections. In the first section, the author defines basic terms and describes two variants of sheltered housing - a basic option with age restriction and an option with enhanced program for old persons. This thesis is oriented on the development of tourism in the Pilsen region. The aim was to create a concept for the planned rebuilding of a cottage on the guesthouse and restaurant in the village Jarov in this region. This concept includes a market analysis and competition, defining technical, technological, financial requirements and determination of its overall contribution to tourism in the region. Also included is the current estate of tourism mainly in the southern part of the Pilsen region, which will by for this project also very important.
